Where Should We Celebrate America Next?
The Independence Run has quickly become one of our most anticipated annual adventures—a rolling celebration of America’s birthday spent on some of the most iconic off-road trails in the country. Every year, we pick a new region of the United States and hit the dirt for several days of wheeling, camping, good food, and unforgettable memories.
Last year, we took things to a whole new level by running the world-renowned Rubicon Trail in California. Over three days and two nights, we crossed granite slabs, camped under the pines, shared stories around the fire, and watched black bears wander curiously through camp. It was a classic Rubicon experience—equal parts challenge, beauty, and camaraderie.
The year before that, the Independence Run lit up Moab. We tackled Hells Revenge, Steel Bender, Moab Rim, and more, capped off with fireworks rising over the red desert and BBQs that lasted long into the night. Each year has taken on its own personality, but the theme remains the same: great people, great trails, and a celebration of freedom in true off-road style.
For 2026, we’re preparing to raise the bar yet again. We’re currently considering three incredible regions:
The Black Hills of South Dakota — granite spires, lush forests, historic mining routes, and some of the most scenic wheeling in the Midwest
The Colorado Rockies — high-elevation passes, alpine lakes, and dramatic mountain terrain
The High Sierra Mountains of California — rugged trails, cool summer temps, and classic western backcountry
Each destination brings something special—and this year, you get to help decide where we go. A poll will be included in this post so you can cast your vote. Whether you’re drawn to high alpine air, dense forests, or historic western mountains, your input will help shape the 2026 Independence Run.
Pack your rigs, dust off the flags, and stay tuned—this year’s celebration of America is shaping up to be one of our best yet.
